If you’re like most couples, you and your spouse probably stood at the altar, hearts and minds giddy with expectation of the journey ahead. But, somewhere along the line, the romantic Street Car Named Desire got derailed by the big Locomotive Named Reality.

Is there any hope to get on track? Yes! say Jay and Laura Laffoon, marriage “edu-tainers” and hosts of the comedy-infused Ultimate Date Night event, where they help couples learn how to create and regularly celebrate a thriving marriage while exploring the realities that everyday life brings to the relationship.

Join the Thrivent Member Network—Mid-America Region for Ultimate Date Night with Jay & Laura, Friday, Oct. 12, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Thoroughbred Center Pavillion. Join us for:

• A comedic performance.
• A Thrivent Action Team benefiting Assurance.
• Delicious appetizers.
• Networking with fellow Thrivent members.

Tickets to this event are free, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation to Assurance of $15 per couple if they are able.

No products will be sold.

What is the itinerary for the event?

• Doors open and registration begins at 6:30 p.m. You do not need to bring your printed registration with you.
• Show begins at 7 p.m.
• There is a 30 minute intermission when food and the Thrivent Action Team will be available.
• Show ends at 9:30 p.m.

Can children attend this event?

This is an adults-only event designed to give couples a fun night out.
